You'll get guaranteed value, whether you eat on campus three times a week or three times a day! We've got you covered.
The Student Center Dining Hall is curated with you in mind—featuring grilled favorites at Ignite, globally inspired cuisine at Global Exchange, hand-stretched artisan pizza at Pack Pizza, allergen-friendly solutions at True Balance and so much more. Across campus, enjoy hot meals and snacks at Courtside Café, fresh smoothies, flatbreads and bowls at Freshens, coffee and grab & go options at Kestrel Café and your favorite Starbucks drinks at Reading CollegeTowne.
What is a Meal Plan?
A Meal Plan unlocks delicious meals, coffee, snacks, and more, at dining locations across campus. Each and every meal plan includes Meal Swipes and Bonus Dollars, conveniently loaded onto your campus ID Card. No need to carry additional cards or cash!
Meal Swipes
Meal Swipes give you access to our all-you-care-to-eat chef-driven dining hall, as well as the ability to utilize “meal exchanges” (see below), at the Courtside Café and Freshen’s at the PLEX.
Dining Dollars
Bonus Dollars
May be used to purchase food at any food service location on campus. Bonus dollars expire at the end of each semester. Bonus Dollars are currently unavailable for re-load, but VERN Bucks are.
VERN Bucks
May be used to purchase food at any food service location on campus. In most cases, Vern Bucks do not expire. When purchasing Vern Bucks, patrons are given a 10% bonus of the dollar amount requested. To add more funds, go to the Office of Student Financial Services.
Meal Exchange
Students on a meal plan have the option to use a meal swipe at the Courtside Café or Freshens at the Plex. The amount of exchanges allowed in one week depends on the meal plan. Meal plan exchanges are provided Monday through Friday and reset on Saturday.

Managing Your Plan
There are three ways you can check your Meal Swipes and Dining Dollars balance:
- On your receipt after a purchase at any dining location
- Visit the Office of Student Financial Services Monday-Friday 9:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.
